This is segment 19 of the long series which closely examines all aspects of World War II. Here is presented the strategy of squeezing the Nazi forces from all sides and eventually crushing their ability to wage war against allied forces. This was to take longer than anticipated. The failure of Operation Market Garden lost the initiative in the allies' western campaign, while the Soviets were having immense successes in the East. Things became tense among the allied forces in their tentative collaboration. August 1944-March 1945.
