Hollywood (1 of 7)
http://forerunner.com/predvestnik/hollywood.html
The following won the "Best Documentary" at the Christian Broadcasters' Awards in Moscow. I produced the video with LOZA-TV in 2000. Victor Victorov narrates a script that has been translated and adapted from Reel to Real's HOLLYWOOD series written by Eric Holmberg.
Introduction
(VICTOR)
In this presentation we're going to look more closely at the powerful relationship that exists between young people and the entertainment industry. We'll explore the background and development of this relationship as well as its effects, particularly in regard to the issues about the power and philosophy of spiritual deception, rebellion, sexual immorality, and violent behavior.
The light to guide us on our journey will be provided always by the Word of God. Be forewarned, however, even with this light firmly in hand, the journey will at times be a dark and difficult one. Some scenes may be disturbing to young children and spiritually sensitive people. For this reason, parental discretion is advised.
What we're about to consider is very serious business - families, lives, and souls are at stake - millions of them -- we're not going to use gentle words. Some hard things are going to be said about both the issues and the people involved. But please understand that "but for the grace of God there go I.'' In my lifetime, before I came to know Jesus Christ, I even stood for some of the very things we're about to expose. We recognize that all people are sinners and we desperately need God's love and forgiveness. Know that we sincerely love and care about these artists and pray for their repentance and salvation.
[SCRIPTURE ON SCREEN]
I pray that: "...they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will." 2 Timothy 2:26
OPENING
[This will be a montage of scenes from the video. At the end of the opening, there will be the clip of a robot destroying a TV set.]
PART 1
POWER AND PHILOSOPHY
(VICTOR)
It would be great if it were that easy, but shouting "STOP!", killing your TV, or moving to a house in some wilderness isn't going to stop the action. Whether we like it or not, technology has placed the modern media industry in a position of unprecedented power and influence. It has become "the most powerful force in the world today."
(VOICE)
We have been transformed into a nation where there are more televisions than bathrooms. Where the average citizen spends many hours a day living in a world of electronic images and sounds. In the words of one noted media expert: "The fact is incontrovertible: People today live 'by the media' whereas once they lived 'by the book.'"
Perhaps most disturbing of all, the situation scarcely improves among those who should know better -- people whose religion challenges them time and again to not focus on the shifting shadows of a world at war with God. Only God knows how many more hours are filled with our pursuit of amusement rather than with prayer, worship, Bible study, and Christian service. It is also true that the average Christian spends more money on entertainment than on all forms of Christian offerings combined.
The purpose of this video presentation is to hold the mirror of God's Word up before the face of Western culture -- particularly the films and media entertainment of the West. And then, once having seen what we've become, our prayer is that we will repent --turn from our sins and allow the Heavenly Father to change us into the likeness of His dear Son Jesus Christ.

"Experience the planet as never before with the most ambitious factual series ever produced about the planet earth. Created by the BBC and shot entirely in high definition, this groundbreaking eleven-part series is the ultimate portrait of the planet, providing an unparalleled view of the world's finest landscapes and incredible footage of creatures that could never be filmed in the wild before.
Four years in the making, the world's premier wildlife cameramen have travelled all over the planet, from the world's greatest rivers and impressive gorges to the mightiest mountains -- from the hidden underground world of caves and caverns to vast deserts -- to bring viewers a new perspective on some of the planet's most iconic habitats. Imagine the Gobi Desert covered in snow; the view from the top of Angel Falls. Planet Earth contains long powerful sequences that have never been filmed before, delivering revelation and wonder in every episode.
Narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough and accompanied by a musical score from multiple Academy Award nominee George Fenton, Planet Earth blends the best of the visual and musical worlds to bring viewers unprecedented footage of some of nature's greatest spectacles.
Included are huge migrations caught on camera, sand storms and plagues of locusts filmed in full force, and animals and landscapes caught on film for the first time. Planet Earth reveals that there is so much of the planet that has not yet been explored on television." ~ CBC Newsworld

"Planet Earth is an Emmy Award and Peabody Award-winning BBC nature documentary series narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Alastair Fothergill. It was first broadcast in the UK from 5 March 2006. The American version is narrated by Sigourney Weaver.
The series was co-produced with Discovery Channel and the NHK in association with the CBC, and was described by its makers as "the definitive look at the diversity of our planet". It was also the first of its kind to be filmed entirely in high-definition.[1] The series was nominated for the Pioneer Audience Award for Best Programme at the 2007 BAFTA TV awards.[2]" ~wikipedia

Little big cats wildlife documentary- budding commentator
i want to be a wildlife documentary commentator when im older so i made these videos at home with my 2 cats. felines are just so charming. they have this charm that no other species have. be it cute little kittens to egotistical lions. tigresses are one of my favourite. wildlife documentary is so challenging, as we can never predict what the animals will do and it's difficult to capture them or their interesting actions on film. please leave ur encouraging comments :) these episodes will improve by miles i swear...just a little bit of positive feedback. forward them to your friends...you're friends will think you are so cool if you forward this episode to them!! :P

The Private Life of Plants: 6. Surviving (Part 1/5)
The Private Life of Plants is a BBC nature documentary series written and presented by David Attenborough. Each of the six 50-minute episodes discusses the aspects of a plant's life-cycle, using examples from around the world. The series utilises time-lapse sequences extensively in order to grant insights that would otherwise be almost impossible. Plants live on a different time scale, and even though their life is highly complex and often surprising, most of it is invisible to humans unless events that happen over months or even years are shown within seconds. Like many traditional wildlife documentaries, it makes use of almost no computer animation. The series also discusses fungi, although as it is pointed out, these do not belong to the kingdom of plants.
"Surviving", the final episode deals with plants that live in hostile environments.

Planet Earth: The Future- 1. Saving Species (Part 2/6)
Planet Earth - The Future is a 2006 BBC documentary series on the environment and conservation, produced by the BBC Natural History Unit as a companion to the multi-award winning nature documentary Planet Earth. Each episode highlights the conservation issues surrounding some of the species and environments featured in Planet Earth, using interviews with the film-makers and eminent figures from the fields of science, conservation, politics and theology.
Saving Species: The first programme asks if there really is an extinction crisis facing certain species. David Attenborough believes that conservation of the natural world is something that can unite humanity if people know enough about it. Cameraman Martyn Colbeck relates that every single day during a six-week African visit to film for "Jungles", he and his crew were awakened by the sound of gunshots. Poaching can quickly wipe out a population. Other featured animals at risk include the Walia Ibex, the Snow Leopard, the boto, and saiga Antelope. The attack of a polar bear on a walrus colony on dry land in "Ice Worlds" was a rare occurrence. Footage from a 1997 BBC wildlife Special shows the bears hunting smaller prey on frozen ice. Species have always become extinct, but now, the viewer is told, the rate of extinction is accelerating and it will "really reach biblical proportions within a few decades.

Illegal Off-Roading Can Damage The Environment / Off Roading Documentary PSA
Illegal Offroading Can Damage The Environment / Documentary. PSA - Noyo Watershed Alliance Sherwood Road. Producer: MCTV. Contact Information: Mendocino Coast Television (MCTV) 248 E. Laurel Street Fort Bragg, CA 95437 (707_ 961-1127). Creative Commons license: Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States
Illegal off-roading seen as threat to nature: The empty beer cans and spent shotgun shells are strewn along the dirt trails that cut into San Timoteo Canyon on the northeastern end of Riverside County. Ken Kietzer, an environmental scientist for California's state parks, kicks at the shells and surveys the illegal dirt trails cutting through the 8,000 acres of public land that park officials hope to one day develop into a state park on the border of Moreno Valley. Illegal off-roading is responsible for erosion, litter and gunfire in the area, he says. But Kietzer's biggest worry is that off-roaders are riding without spark arrestors -- devices that by law must be mounted to the end of an off-road vehicle's exhaust pipe to prevent sparks from shooting out. Without arrestors, Kietzer fears the off-roaders may cause a brush fire in the parched canyons that are home to mountain lions, coyotes, bobcats, snakes and other wildlife. It is an area that has already been struck twice by brush fires caused by lightning in the last year. "We can't handle this short of a fire cycle," he says. Nearly three years ago, the chief of the U.S. Forest Service, Dale N. Bosworth, named illegal off-roading as one of the biggest threats to the national forests. State and local parks officials agree that illegal off-roading is a major source of damage to parks and open space. Off-roading groups vow to abide by government restrictions on public land, but they say park agencies must acknowledge off-roading's booming popularity by opening more parkland for the sport. California, for example, hasn't opened a new off-road park since 1998. Meanwhile, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management is in the process of adding new off-roading restrictions to its 261 million acres of wilderness. "We are being squeezed," said Ed Waldheim, president of California Off-Road Vehicle Assn.
